Agent API

A REST-style API that allows agents to interact with a Neuron without an XMPP connection.

JWT (JSON Web Token)

A short-lived bearer token used to authenticate API requests.

Nonce

A unique random string used once to prevent replay attacks in signed requests.

JID (Jabber ID)

The XMPP address of a user or entity, for example alice@neuron.example.com. A verified identity on a Neuron that can be used to sign contracts or petitions.

Contract

A smart contract managed by the Neuron. It can be created, signed, and queried by authorized parties.

Token

A signed asset or proof that can be linked to contracts and state machines.

State machine

A workflow model used to represent and verify state transitions of a resource.
